I am a Ph.D. Candidate in Economics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. My specializations are microeconomics, behavioral, public, and development. I am a U.S. citizen and resident of California for over 20 years.
I will be on the job market this Fall and available for interviews at the 2018 ASSA meeting in Philadelphia.
I am a first-generation college graduate and will also be the first to earn a doctorate. My trials overcoming a decade of poverty have taught me resilience, the value of education, and great compassion for all.
Today, I am a holder of three degrees in various fields, a polyglot of four languages, a former business owner, a local chess champion, and an award-winning artist. I read a new personal development book each month and practice mindful living.
